SARA Animal Shelter is a refuge for lost, abandoned or mistreated animals on Lanzarote. We thought that this site would be an ideal place for us to give out the day to day news from the shelter and keep our supporters informed of any developements they may be interested in. Many people on Lanzarote still do not know of our exsistence nor do they know about the work that we do.
SARA is a registered charity and receives no government funding. It relies on donations, memberships, sponsorships, car boot sales and markets etc to remain open.
I am sure there are many animal lovers out there who will be interested in our work and will come and visit us or maybe become involved in one way or another with helping our fourlegged friends (and some three legged as well !).
